We service domestic wastewater, underground chambers and deal with fecal sludge management using our fleet of vacuum trucks. We extend our expertise and experience to domestic, commercial and industrial customers throughout London and the South East.

What is a Septic Tank

A septic tank is a system in which sewage sludge is retained for a sufficient time for the organic matter to decompose. Domestic wastewater from your toilets, sinks, showers and baths (grey water) drain into the septic tank chamber for basic separation.

What are Cesspits?

Like a septic tank, a cesspit is a collection point for both solid and liquid waste. Unlike septic tanks however, cesspits do not have a soakaway system, so the cesspit is purely a holding tank for waste, until it is eventually emptied.

Septic Tank Services We Offer

Septic tank inspection

We inspect your septic tank in a number of ways, depending on the size and accessibility of your tank. We conduct full visual inspections for onsite sewage facilities, CCTV inspections, and empty visual inspections that are all performed to ensure that your septic tank is functional. Before we conduct any remedial work, we carry out an inspection to ensure that the waste conforms with the EWC codes raised in the Works Authorisation code.

Septic tank cleaning

Maintaining a septic tank is crucial in ensuring it stays in functional working order. We provide regular contracted cleaning, as well as deep cleaning options. To combat contamination, we deep clean all traces of hazardous waste and flush the system to reduce domestic wastewater. We also use an anaerobic processes treatment to quickly degrade organic contaminants.

Septic tank emptying

Whether it’s emptied on a regular maintenance schedule, or whether it’s an emergency situation, we provide a first-class cleaning service. HCL’s mega fleet is the most powerful fleet in the UK and uses vacuum tankers to empty the largest septic tanks and private sewage systems. We are also able to legally dispose of any quantity of digested and undigested sludge, scum or other contaminants with our environmental permit.
