Grease Interceptor Cleaning

Our specialist interceptor cleaning and emptying services can be employed for all types of commercial fat and grease traps. Hydro Cleansing works efficiently to clean and decontaminate potentially toxic substances left within the grease trap system. If ignored, leftover fat can harden and cause blockages that eventually overflow the system.

Petrol Interceptor Cleaning

We offer exceptional installation and maintenance services for fuel and oil interceptors. Our trained engineers clean and install interceptors to stop oil leaks from vehicles, industrial plants and accidental spillages.

We can work on either petrol or diesel interceptors - any kind of oil tank. If you're looking for a company to service your forecourt interceptor tank, Hydro Cleansing are available 24/7 to help with maintenance.

Drainage Interceptor Cleaning

Drainage interceptors are also known as drain separators. They are designed to prevent contaminating materials from entering surface water drain systems.

Essentially, drainage interceptor is another name for a petrol interceptor. All types of interceptors are installed within drainage pipework to collect contaminants. Grease traps, however, are fitted beneath a sink and are for more for domestic, or rather, small scale commercial drain needs.

What Is An Interceptor?

An interceptor is a tank installed within pipework to collect and hold contaminants, allowing the remaining wastewater to be discharged into the main sewage system. An interceptor is an essential installation, as it prevents common oils – such as those that could seep from machinery or vehicles – from getting into and polluting the main drainage system. The interceptor area holds pollutants until they can be removed manually later.

If we're talking about a restaurant grease trap, these should generally be cleaned as often as every 1 - 3 months. However, if we're talking about a much larger interceptor tank, it's recommended by the Environment Agency that these are cleaned every 6 months.

Just like any interceptor, we recommend emptying and cleaning a petrol interceptor at least every 6 months. Maintaining a regular schedule for your interceptor is the best method to prevent overflow and any large repair costs further down the line.
