Wet Waste Recycling Facility

HCL's Wet Waste Management is simply the best solution to recycle and dispose of your liquid waste in the most effective and efficient manner. Our services are available 24/7 and we cater to the multiple needs of our customers. The services that we provide are detailed below.

Liquid Waste

Leachate Services

Our fleet of jet vac tankers is the most powerful in the UK and can remove large volumes of hazardous household liquids such as leachate from underneath landfill sites in an environmental risk free way. We work closely with our suppliers to arrange the appropriate testing, assess environmental risk, determine the EWC code and then arrange the collection and safe disposal of any leachate.

Liquid Waste

Drilling Slurry Services

There are a number of different types of drilling muds, drilling slurries and bentonite solutions used to decrease friction during drilling. We provide massive onsite jet vac tankers, regular removals and legal recycling and disposal of liquid waste disposal for most common drilling slurries.

PERMITS AND CODES

Sustainability Permits

Sustainability permits are needed for a wide range of different activities including emissions from nuclear power stations and sewage treatment plants, to scrap metal yards, and other areas that might pollute the air, water or land. On constructions sites, HCL have several methods of dewatering from excavations: Wellpoint Method of Dewatering Excavations. Eductor Wells method Open sump pumping method Deep well method

PERMITS AND CODES

Waste Carrier Licence

From January 2014, new regulations mean that companies transporting waste as part of their business (whether it’s their waste or someone else’s) have to register for a Waste Carriers Licence. This includes contractors like HCL but also any company that conducts water discharge activities. We highly recommend giving us a call to see what we can do for you today to avoid costly fines.

PERMITS AND CODES

EWC Codes

There are over 650 EWC codes in total, providing the backbone of environmental protection. They are used to ensure that all treatment plants are licenced for the processing of correct waste streams. We process the following EWC Codes at our Waste Recycling Facility

TREATMENT PLANT

What Type Of Wet Waste Is Processed?

Our expertise and experience covers the processing of a wide range of materials including: Drilling slurry Gully waste Road sweepings Inlet grit Storm tank cleaning Sludge dewatering Culvert Cleaning

TREATMENT PLANT

Accessibility to treatment plant

Our site is open to all for licensed wet waste recycling. Vehicles are escorted to our operated weighbridge for the gross weight prior to tipping at our treatment plant. Once tipped they return to the weighbridge in order to establish the net weight and fill out any relevant paperwork. The site is large enough to accomodate all types of road sweepers and even fully laden articulated bulk tankers.

TREATMENT PLANT

Weighbridge System

Our weighbridge system is regularly calibrated to ensure it is both accurate and compliant. We use the Gross and Net system across the haulage and environmental services sector and HGV drivers to ensure accurate weights are obtained with minimum disruption.

TREATMENT PLANT

Vehicle Wash Bays

Whilst attending our treatment plant, operators can take advantage of the ability to wash down even the largest vehicles, using the clean water produced by our recycling plant. As with all other aspects of environmental service, this wash down is controlled by legislation and must be performed in an area where fuel oil interceptors are both installed and operational. We use our high pressure water jetting technology and degreasing to prevent cross contamination. This whole process of recycling and reuse, creates a closed reuse/recycle loop.

WET WASTE

Sewer Grit

At Hydro Cleansing we receive unlimited volumes of sewer grit. We always make sure to process it into a useful building material and water at our London depot. Sewer grit builds up in areas of the sewer network where the flow rate is lowest and can easily block the system. Instead of dumping wet waste in landfills, we provide concrete slurry removal to remove small stones, dirt and winter grit.
